Stand-alone commodes such as this one are ideal for these situations, as they can be placed directly next to the bed and are designed to maintain sanitation while increasing convenience.

The Deluxe Steel Drop Arm Commode is designed specifically to make lateral transference from wheelchairs to the commode easier and quicker. Both arms can be individually lowered so patients can be transferred to the commode from either side, suiting both left- and right-handed users and caregivers.

The frame is versatile, and can be used without the 12-quart bucket as a safety frame for a pre-existing toilet or as an elevated toiled seat for a pre-existing toilet. The push-button height adjustable legs ensure the chair can be easily modified so the patients feet are firmly planted on the ground while seated, providing extra security.

The grey, powder-coated steel that makes up the frame provides durability while the welded construction ensures the commode will hold together up to its 300 pound capacity. The seat lid can be removed to suit preference and the splash guard provides extra sanitation.
