Cover for Comfy Splints Long Opponens Hand and Hand Thumb Orthoses

A reserve cover designed for adult-sized Comfy Splints Long Opponens and Hand Thumb Orthosis“specifically LOPH and LOPHT 101 and 102 orthosis models“promoting comfort and support for flaccid wrists, fingers, and thumbs. This cover would replace old and torn covers that can no longer support deformed wrists and hands while causing more stress for the thumb when resting. A new cover would provide a plush cushioning for a stabilized surface which would make the splint ideal for the gradual extension and resting of non-fixed writs or hand contractions.

These covers may only be available in a Dark Blue tint and fit splint sizes indicated for adults, but these covers do have an advantage over most Comfyprene covers. By default, these covers were designed to be easily removed without difficulty since they are secured around the entire sprint with a hook. Sometimes soft velcro loops are used to secure these covers to minimize self-injury during prolonged use and make a splint fully adjustable at all joints to procure an optimal fit.

Besides being able to wrap itself around the entire splint without the use of tools or heat guns, a cover has the advantage of being made of a specialized fabric called Terry Cloth. This material is made from specialized FreshGuard and DryRelease cotton fibers that work to absorb moisture and prevent skin maceration. Together with foam layers that line the entire cover and around the straps, it can help mitigate skin friction around the writs and hands while acting as a protective plush surface to support and position your flaccid ligaments.

These cannot function on themselves, but they are the only part of a complete Orthosis device that is machine washable.
