The Carino Height-Adjustable Shower and Hygiene Chair is designed to allow a single caregiver to safely and comfortably perform all the tasks associated with everything from bathing routines to clipping toenails. A handheld remote allows caregivers to adjust the height of the chair; the chair can be lowered to facilitate more convenient and safer lateral transfers and then raised to accommodate the caregiver's preferred working height that causes the least strain to the lower back and grants them the most convenient access to the patient. Integrated handles provide caregivers with a variety of grip options to give them optimal control over positioning the chair and patient exactly where needed, especially when using the chair as an over-toilet commode chair.

Both leg rests of the chair swing out of the way during transfers into and out of the seat, and then self-adjust once returned to their original position to provide patients with the most ergonomic support. The padded seat, backrest, and head cushions are soft and comfortable to sit on for the extended time bathing routines can require. Additional cushioning for the seat and backrest are available as well to enhance patient comfort.

To facilitate efficient, convenient cleaning, the seat and backrest feature seamless construction and are completely waterproof; the leg rests, back rest, and head cushion detach quickly and easily to ensure comprehensive sanitation. Four safe-locking casters ensure that the chair stays securely in place during both cleaning and stationary patient activities but still glides smoothly when moving for uninterrupted transfers.
