Therapy putty is widely used for its pliability to build grip strength and improve dexterity in the hands and fingers. The putty™s ability to form around the fingers while maintaining a solid state allows the patients to mold the putty it various shapes while building strength.
Theraputty can be utilized in the classroom or other environments that require a child to concentrate and be still. The endless molding possibilities paired with the visually stimulating sparkles provide an excellent fidget tool to keep children idly busy and help to de-escalate anxiety in users.
The Theraputty® follows the Thera Band® color coding system to mark the levels of resistance. (*See Chart Below) By following this widely-used color system, the resistance levels of the putty can easily be recognized and selected quickly during therapy sessions.
Stain Removal Suggestions:
To remove from hair: You can either use baby oil, a generous amount of hair conditioner with warm water, or smooth peanut butter. Take the chosen method, massage it around the scalp and area containing the putty. Afterward, gently comb through the hair. Once the putty is removed from the hair, then wash the hair regularly.
To remove from fabric or carpeting: Scrape off excess putty with a dull knife or metal spoon. Spray the area with WD-40, then let stand for a few minutes. Respray the area with WD-40, then wipe off the stain with cotton balls. Wipe remaining residue with a damp sponge or moistened cloth with liquid dish soap.
