Southpaw's Carpet Cover Kits for Bolsters are a great addition to your SouthPaw Bolster Seat because it will increase the diameter of your swing, add some support and comfort for the rider, and up the tactile sensory input for increased sensory center stimulation. These covers are designed to fit the Standard Bolster Swing and the Pony Bolster Swing.

The bolster swing is an overall excellent tool to improve strength, motor skills, coordination, and sensory skills. The log-like design allows adults and children to sit in various positions, such as laying down or sitting up, to modify the swinging experience and alter the sensory information.

How do I put the carpet on my bolster?

Answer:

Disconnect the bolster from the upper works. You must first pre-clean the bolster on each side of the seam where the strips will attach to the bolster with denatured alcohol.

Lay the carpet on the floor with the back facing up Lay the bolster upside down, centered on the carpet. Do not remove the backing strips at this time.

Wrap the carpet around the bolster and observe the relation of the edge of the carpet with the seam on the bolster. The seam should be straight and in the middle of the opening between the ends of the carpet and the carpet. The carpet should be centered end to end on the bolster (figure 1).

When the bolster/carpet are positioned correctly, remove the plastic backing from one of the hook and loop strips (see figure 2). Carefully wrap the carpet snugly around the bolster and press the adhesive strip in place (figure 3)

Pull out any slack by carefully pulling on the free end of the carpet.

Remove the backing from the other hook and loop strip and wrap the carpet around the bolster, pressing the adhesive strip into place (figure 4)

Let the adhesive strips cure for 24 hours before use. Failure to do so will shorten the life of the strips.

How do I clean my carpet?

Answer: The carpet is not machine washable. Vacuum the carpet often, clean with foam carpet cleaner, and dry before using again.

Where should I store my bolster swing carpet kit?

Answer: Store out of direct sunlight where it is not accessible without proper procedures.
