More Information

Goniometers measure the range of motion (ROM) in joints, allowing physicians to establish a baseline of where their patient's mobility is starting so they can both establish a plan best-suited for their personal situation and also quantitatively monitor their progress.

The Baseline Wall-Mount Goniometer is designed to measure the thoracic and lumbar range of motion, lateral and forward flexion, and extension of the spine; medical professionals can have the patient stand in front of the poster-like meter and align the patient™s L4 and L5 axis points for measurements.

The large meter is marked clearly with large numbers indicating every five degrees, with unlabeled tick marks notating individual degree increases. Angle lines are marked every ten degrees to make proper measuring quick and easy. The goniometer can be screwed or nailed into the wall, though it is recommended that it be mounted in such a way as to be height-adjustable to better suit a variety of client heights.
