More Information

Invacare's Heavy-duty Steel Bed Rail for their Homecare Hospital Bed is designed to provide assistance for both patients and caregivers alike. The durable bed rail is made of heavy-duty steel that is then coated in a powdered coating. The Bed Rail may be used in three positions a guard, assist, or transfer.

The first position of the bed rail takes is the form of a guard. This is extremely important for caregivers as it keeps their patients secured in their beds. This is possible by providing a barrier between the user and the edge of the bed. They are in return safer in their beds as they are less likely to roll out on accident.

Next, the assist position of the bed rail gives the user a prop to use in order to safely enter and exit the bed. The rail will give patients the ability to get in and out of bed easier and therefore provide them with assistance as needed. This feature will also benefit caregivers as their patients will be less likely to need help while they move in and out of their beds.

Lastly, the bedrail can be used in order to assist during transfers. Due to the easy-to-use quick-release button the rail easily moves in and out of the way as needed. This gives both patients and their caregivers more room to work during patient transfers.
