Aquatec Ocean Ergo Series of Shower and Commode Chairs

The Aquatec Ocean Ergo Series of Shower and Commode Chairs is a versatile aid designed to make a variety of hygiene routines more comfortable and convenient for both the patient and the caregiver. A keyhole-shaped cutout in the seat allows for commode use, either as an over-toilet frame or as a bedside commode when used in conjunction with a collection pan. The stainless steel frame is resistant to moisture, rust, and corrosion, making it compatible with wet environments and bathing. All Ocean chairs feature small front casters that swivel 360-degrees for flexible maneuverability and feature foot-operated locking mechanisms; rear wheels can either be two more of these small, swiveling casters, or dual 24 wheels designed for patients to propel themselves. Regardless of wheel choice, a push-bar attached to the backrest of the seat can be used for caregiver propulsion. Chairs can be easily disassembled into pieces to take up less space when in storage and also ensure easy transportation when traveling.

To ensure patients are comfortable and supported, Ocean chairs feature a wide range of adjustable components. The backrest of the chair is made of soft, forgiving material that can conform to the patient's spine and is detachable and machine washable for easy maintenance. Without the use of tools, the seat can be raised and lowered quickly and easily. Both armrests swing out of the way to grant easier access to the seat and can be set to two different height options to suit patient comfort. The height-adjustable footrests can similarly swing out of the way of transitions, and are also entirely detachable if desired; heel straps and textured footplates with plenty of traction help keep feet securely in place.
