The ActiveAid 720 Bariatric Rehab Shower and Commode Chair is designed to ensure that bathing and hygiene routines are safe, comfortable, and convenient for both the patient and caregiver. The stainless steel frame, available in black or white, is rust and corrosion resistant for a long life and easy maintenance, saving valuable caregiver time; its wide and durable construction can support up to 600 pounds, making it suitable for most bariatric patients. Both front casters swivel 360 degrees to easily maneuver tight corners and are equipped with foot-activated locking mechanisms for safe stationary use. The 20-inch rear wheels are fixed in place and allow for patient self-propulsion, maintaining their sense of freedom and independence. Two integrated handles protrude from behind the backrest for carefully controlled caregiver propulsion.
Both seat options are thickly padded to ensure patients are comfortable at all times and coated with seamless waterproof material that is easy to wipe clean. In addition, both seat options feature a hygiene cutout for toileting use; a metal wire frame and bedpan are included with the chair for easy and sanitary clean-up. The armrests of the chair also feature padding with waterproof covering while the footrest plate provides a convenient platform to prevent dangling legs even when feet don't reach the floor.
