Electrostatic sprayers, sometimes referred to as electrostatic disinfectant sprayers, are devices designed to disinfect large surfaces, hard-to-reach areas, and high-volume settings. These devices can be handheld, wheeled, or even in vehicle form, and enable users to keep their facilities as clean and healthful as possible. Read on to learn more!
If you operate a clinic, care facility, or hospital, you know how rigorous the cleaning guidelines are in order to ensure the utmost health and safety of your patients, staff, and visitors. Surfaces need to be sterilized frequently, especially in settings with high volumes of traffic. This can become cumbersome and difficult to keep up with due to time and staff constraints. Don’t you wish there was a way to make the cleaning process easier and more efficient? With an electrostatic sprayer, you can!
How do electrostatic sprayers work?
Electrostatic sprayers (a.k.a: electrostatic disinfectant sprayers) intermix ambient air and a disinfectant solution (of your choosing) and pass it through an electrostatic field. The electrostatic field is created by your sprayer’s internal system that’s composed of (3) rows of vertical wires and a stack of vertical, flat metal plates. As you engage your sprayer, a high amount of voltage is applied within this electrostatic field and the aerosolized disinfectant becomes ionized. Ionized particles are innately drawn to surfaces as their electrostatic forces are greater than gravity. In layman’s terms, this means that ionized particles are able to better stick to surfaces and, in turn, are able to offer greater disinfection than standard cleaning solutions and methods.
What are the different kinds of electrostatic sprayers?
Electrostatic sprayers can come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and styles. The most common style is the handheld electrostatic sprayer, which resembles a spray gun. Most often, handheld models are cordless. Handheld electrostatic sprayers are arguably the most portable and are also ideal for smaller spaces like hospital rooms and office spaces. Another model is the wheeled electrostatic sprayer. This model, as the name implies, is usually similar in shape and size to a carry-on suitcase or wheeled backpack. This type of electrostatic sprayer is perfect for larger settings like hospital waiting rooms, factory production floors, and corporate office buildings. There’s also an uncommon but wholly useful style called electrostatic sprayer vehicles. These electrostatic devices are fully-functional vehicles that can be driven during operation. Electrostatic sprayer vehicles are intended for large-scale settings like sports stadiums, arenas, and production plants.
