The Snellen Non-Reflective Eye Exam Chart is made of non-reflective materials to ensure the patient has the best, unobstructed view possible for an accurate eye examination. The matte finish eliminates the possibility of glaring light to present a solid and shiny surface that is cleat to read. The chart should be illuminated with white light.
A set of red and green color bars are applied to the eye chart. The green bar is between the 6th and 7th row, while the red bar is between the letters on row 8 and 9. The green bar could be used as a goal marker for the patient to read the larger letters on top. The red bar could be used as a visual marker for the much smaller letters on the Snellen Eye Chart.
Centered above the letter E as the top of the eye chart is an eyelet/grommet. This eyelet opening allows the chart to be taken down and rehung in nearly any settings with a small thumbtack, nail, or string. The easy removal and set up is great for disaster relief settings and rural clinics with limited medical access. The largest letters are located at the top of the eye chart and they progressively get smaller as you look down the chart. There are 11 rows in total.
