The CanDo Inflatable Vestibular Disc is a dynamic cushion that acts as a substitute for the standard exercise ball. The thin disc can be placed in the seat of any normal chair to mimic the movement of sitting on an exercise ball without the instability that comes with it. The disk can also function as a standing platform for balance and core strength exercises, and is a more stable, secure option than the standard exercise ball.
One side of the disk is smooth and the other covered with small nubs to provide a tactile experience. Users can choose to sit or stand on either side; the nubby side provides a textured surface for standing and can be pleasant on the soles of the feet, while the smooth side provides a flat and comfortable surface for sitting.
The CanDo Inflatable Vestibular Disc comes in five different colors to suit aesthetic preferences and two sizes (14 and 24) to fit a wide variety of chair seats. The cushion can be inflated to its full 2.5 height capacity for a firmer disc or deflated to any point down to 1 for a softer, more forgiving feel. The user can also choose to purchase a washable cover that fits snugly over the disc to help keep it clean and sanitary and help reduce the potential for skin irritation.
