The Posey Company, one of the world’s oldest medical restraints manufacturing company, is headquartered in Arcadia, California and manufactures over 600 healthcare and safety products that are used around the world, with the help and dedication of over 300 craftsmen who have an average of 12 years work experience.
The company was founded in 1937 when J. T. Posey built a bed cradle for a friend who complained about the weight of a bedcover on his feet while recovering in a hospital. The hospital liked the idea so much that they bought 12 more. With this new found idea, J. T. Posey went around to other hospitals in the San Francisco area and soon after, expanded his travels and sales to the point where the Posey company achieved worldwide respect as a designer and manufacturer of practical and innovative healthcare and restraint products.
Today, as it was back in the early 20th century with J. T. Posey, the Posey Company strives diligently to continue to create innovative and comprehensive product solutions that support patient care and their caregiver’s efforts, helping to provide a safer environment by reducing the risk of injuries related to patient falls, and to help ensure their safety and quality of life. Since the introduction of the first Posey Alarm in 1992, the Posey Company has become the leader in providing restraint-free fall management devices that have quickly earned the confidence of health care providers, while also being ranked #1 in fall prevention by Nursing Homes Magazine.
Over the years, the company’s continued growth has required an expansion of additional office space, as well as manufacturing and warehousing facilities that are utilized to produce well-known and respected Posey restraint systems, bed safety rails protectors, personal medical alarms, gait transfer belts, tracheostomy care products, wander alarms, medical cushions, and many others restraining and medical alarm devices.
Rehabmart.com is proud to team up with the Posey Company to offer their innovative medical restraints and alarm devices to our customers.
