Product Overview:

The Companion 5 Stationary Oxygen Concentrator quietly delivers a continuous flow of oxygen and produces flow rates of up to 5 LPM. Features such as diagnostic alarms, a simple-to-operate user interface, and the ability to deliver the purest oxygen makes this one of the most advanced oxygen concentrators on the market. The Companion 5 Stationary Oxygen Concentrator conserves energy, using less than 300 W at the 3.0 LPM setting. Other than changing out the cannula tubes when needed, the only maintenance necessary is changing out the filter on the bottom of the unit every two years by a service tech. Choose from a model with or without an oxygen monitor.

More Information

The Companion 5 Stationary Oxygen Concentrator is a 0.5 to 5 liter per minute compact stationary concentrator. Designed with quality, reliability, and performance in mind, the unit is built to last and will quickly become the workforce concentrator of your fleet.

Two unique technologies are incorporated into this concentrator, making it one of the best on the market. AutoFlow Technology is variable valve timing that reduces the power by about 15% if you lower the flow rate from 5 to 2 liters per minute. The other unique feature is ultraSilent Technology with a patent pending air intake system as well as an industry leading purge muffler that gives it the quietest purge or exhaust cycle of any concentrator on the market. The Companion 5 Stationary Oxygen Concentrator has also been designed for simplicity of surface. It has a minimal amount of internal connections and parts that are easy to access. This results in a high performance and less areas for leakage. The connections that are there are made with metal and braided tubing, which is very strong.

ultraSilent Technology
Two sounds that make the most noise when air flows in and out of an oxygen concentrator are the air intake and the exhaust. As far as air intake goes, a patent pending air filter is custom designed with muffler capabilities that minimize the noise as air enters the Companion 5. To minimize the dumping or exhaust noise, a curved muffler on the sit bed assembly results in one low and consistent sound without the noticeable exhaust noise. These features result in one of the quietest units on the market.

autoFlow Technology
The unit will have variable valve cycle timing. The timing between one bed and another is determined based on flow rate. A lot of competitor units rely on pressure, but the Companion 5 varies its valve timing based on flow rate. If the flow rate is lowered, the power consumption is also reduced. This feature results in one of the most power efficient units on the market. As the flow rate is lowered, not only will power be reduced, but also the operating pressures, operating temperatures, and the noise level will also be reduced, resulting in less wear and tear and more efficiency. AutoFlow also gives industry leading oxygen purity percentages. Because it cycles based on flow rate, the oxygen is highly pure at all flow rate settings.

Simple and Easy to Use Patient Interface
The patient interface is user friendly and simply. There is an on/off switch, 3 caution lights. The top light that says I/O with a green LED light indicates that the unit is running an functioning properly. The light with the yellow triangle next to it is a warning for flow rates that are either high or low at a specification or some type of malfunction, such as a power loss. The light with the O2 icon next to it is present on the model with oxygen monitoring. It turns on yellow and flashes when the oxygen concentration is below 85%. The light will turn solid if the concentration drops below 70%. A large and easy to read hour meter displays alarm codes if the unit goes into alarm. The flow meter is lined and easy to read. It's Marked from 0.5 all the way up to 5 liters per minute in half a liter per minute increments. On the other side is the metal cannula connection, which is robust and durable, and a strap secures any standard humidifier bottles.

Designed for Simplicity of Service
There is no air intake gross particle foam filter that requires patient cleaning. The air intake filter is accessible through the bottom of the unit in a filtered door. There is no maintenance needed by the patient, as far as cleaning the filter. There are only 6 screws used to open the 2 piece case. A maintenance schedule of every 2 years is recommended as a minimum. There are 2 filters that need to be changed as far as maintenance. Those are the air intake filter, and the other is a bacteria filter.
