Universal Vests is proud to present the UVest, a multi-application aid designed for patients, caregivers, first responders, therapists, and more. As a therapist, you will appreciate the ability guide patients through exercises and activities and support them if needed; first responders and other emergency personnel will also appreciate the ability to support and even carry patients with limited mobility out of dangerous situations faster, safer, and easier. For caregivers, the UVest allows you to help maneuver your loved one, whether its from their wheelchair to bed or from the house to the car.

The patent-pending compression system supports the wearer snugly and comfortably around their chest, back, and core, with optional additional supports for everything from the neck to the legs. A compression belt wraps around the patients middle and secures with hook-and-loop straps for adjustable levels of support; a Kyphotic style is also available that provides added support to the thoracic and sacral regions to cater to patients with kyphosis. A series of durable handles placed in ten strategic locations can be used to help ambulate the patient, support some of the patients weight as needed, and even lift the patient from the floor in case of a fall. For more ambulatory and active patients, the USport is made in a lighter, more aerodynamic style and features hybrid neoprene material that absorbs moisture and sweat to keep the skin cool and dry.

Each vest is catered to suit the patient, with a wide range of both adult and pediatric sizes, as well as cotton, nylon, and hybrid fabrics in 25 different color combinations. All materials are commercial-grade for reliable durability and antibacterial, antimicrobial, and mildew resistant to prevent deterioration and maintain sanitation. A variety of accessories are available to uniquely customize the vest to suit each individual patient. The Short and Long Capes attach securely to the back of the vest where they can then be folded out to support the upper legs, making it much easier to lift almost any patient from a prone position on the floor. The U3 Tri-Point Anchor System connects to the back of the vest and runs between the legs for added stability; additional postural supports are available for the neck, spine, thoracic region, and more.

Other accessories include things like hot and cold pack sets, laundry bags, and lead lines. The UVest can be purchased individually with any combination of accessories, or as a Lift Package that includes a customized UVest, U3 tri-point anchor system for leg support, and wide line attachment for compatibility with ceiling tracks, T-bars, and more.
