Offloads the Heel
An Achilles Pad offloads the heel and protects against hyperextension of the knee. The boots heel has a V Cut Heel Well that ensures true offloading in the heel bed.
Heel Checks
Designed with an open-ended foot gate, the caregiver is able to view the entire foot without needing to remove the boot. The boot's versatile design makes it easy to accommodate a wide range of foot sizes, from wide to narrow. The open design allows for accomodation of bulky dressings.
Security
Included straps ensure that the ankle stays in an optimal neutral position, at a 90 degree angle. This feature is helpful for those who are at risk of ankle contracture.
Height
With an elongated design, sheets are kept off of the toes. This feature is particularly beneficial for vulnerable diabetic toes.
Protects
TruVue Heel Protectors are available with an optional wedge that supports the foot, prevents internal and external hip rotation, and protects the peroneal nerve. The wedge also includes a shear barrier that protects the heels from shear forces.
Compliant with Flammability Standards
TruVue Heel Protectors and Wedges are compliant with CFR Title 16, Part 1610 and CAL 117-2013 flammability standards.
