The Thermal Vent Open Wrap Hinged Knee Brace combines additional stability, gentle compression, and heat therapy into one anatomically designed all-in-one brace to relieve knee pain and complement other healing treatments. There are two removable polycentric hinges that give stability to the medial and lateral sides of the knee for rotary stability. The hinges lock at 0 degrees to prevent hyperextension. The front opening reduces pressure across the patella, preventing aggravation to injuries and relieving pain and bruising. At the back of the knee is popliteal cut out that prevents material bunching up during flexion and increases comfort. The adjustable closures at the top and bottom of the brace allow the user to customize the compression and fit needed to reduce swelling and prevent brace migration. The layered thermal lining is engineered with Thermal Vent Micro Ventilated Thermal Technology to aid in rehabilitating injuries. The layered thermal lining is a soft, nylon material that keeps the skin dry by wicking away moisture. There is also a micro ventilated, breathable membrane that traps and reuses the natural body heat as heat therapy to ease pain, increase pliability and elasticity, and reduce swelling.
The upgraded version features snap-in flexion and extension stops for pre-surgical instability and post-surgical rehabilitation where flexion and extension control is recommended.
Instructions of Use:
1. With leg slightly bent, position the brace with the front opening behind the knee, the Swede-O label at the top, and the hinges adjacent to the knee on both sides
2. Secure the bottom strap.
3. Adjust the position of the brace until the overlap of the front opening is centered directly under the patella
4. Secure the top strap
5. Thread the bottom compression strap through the bottom buckle and secure it onto itself
6. Repeat step 5 with the top strap. Adjust both straps as needed
