The TheraTogs ULTRA Posture and Torso Alignment (PTA) System is a great beginning point for achieving improvements in upper body alignment and posture. This appliance takes control of the neuro-motor systems ability to learn and adapt so that it reaches a level of corrected alignment. This is ideal for those living with hypotonia, kyphosis, lordosis, and pelvic tilt.
A single-garment unit of supportive material and a few straps for individual spot support of muscle systems. This basic system is cost-effective compared to weekly visits to a physical/occupational therapist without daily posture alignment garments.
Once you start using the alignment system you will immediately see results as the PTA system hugs the body granting constant alignment while being worn. It only takes minutes to put on in return for day-long postural and torso muscular retraining. This creates a base level of body alignment to work from in order to achieve maximum or desired trunk and postural alignment.
There are sizes available for infants, children, teens, small adults (male and female), and large adults (male and female). When ordering, please include the data from the size selection chart for your chosen PTA system. This way it helps ensure the right size is being fabricated for the individual fit and comfort.
When measuring, start both from the bony protrusion of the top of the hip bone (the iliac crest). The shoulder measurement should be taken from the iliac crest to the top of the shoulder. The knee measurement should be taken from the iliac crest to the center of the knee. Your weight should also be included.

NEW GoldTone fabric was developed during three years of R&D and field trials to meet the demanding performance requirements of TheraTogs systems. GoldTone is specifically formulated for the demands of biomechanical retraining, and manufactured using a patented fabric finishing process.
Advanced Properties Include:
- GoldTone is a superior knitted material that has stretch, tension and rebound properties specifically formulated for the demands of biomechanical retraining. GoldTone is manufactured with a patented fabric finishing process, and used only for TheraTogs Ultra Systems.
- Unlike other stretch materials, GoldTone grips the wearer's skin and soft tissue with a unique, comfortable foam layer. This allows TheraTogs Ultra systems to reposition and retrain the neuromotor system without uncomfortable compression or hard bracing.
- TheraTogs ULTRA components will maintain biomechanical corrections firmly for over nine hours of daily wear, and rebound to their original size overnight.
- GoldTone is a subtle golden tan in color, making it less noticeable under clothing and cooler to wear. The Velcro hook used for garment and strapping tabs is custom-matched to the lustrous GoldTone fabric surface, and can handle repeated application and removal of tabs.
Result: TheraTogs Ultra Systems made with GoldTone offer clients the 'best of all worlds' with day-long dynamic correction, superior durability, and foam-lined comfort.

TheraTogs ULTRA: Changing the Practice of Rehab
- Empowers clinicians to grip and position the patient in dynamic, multi-dimensional functional alignment
- Allows the patient to WEAR their THERAPY all day long - and learn from repetition
- Learning occurs in proper alignment - Practice Makes Permanent
- Adapt the system "on-the-fly" as the client improves
TheraTogs ULTRA Systems made with GoldTone offer clients the 'best of all worlds' with day-long dynamic correction, superior durability, and foam-lined comfort. |
WHAT ARE THERATOGS? HOW DO THEY WORK? TheraTogs are specialized undergarments and straps customized for your patient to create a live-in system that provides either neuromotor or postural training, or prolonged proprioceptive input.
For patients with biomechanical or neuromotor issues, TheraTogs work by allowing the clinician to set the patient’s body in proper functional alignment, and letting them re-train their body through the ‘practice’ of daily activities.
By applying prolonged, gentle forces during activity, TheraTogs can actually change the muscle and connective tissue – and for infants and young children, bone and joint development as well – in favor of better function and better alignment.
|
For patients with sensory and sensorimotor issues, TheraTogs work by applying consistent, gentle compression and proprioceptive input across the entire trunk, and by offering stability and support in a dynamic system that moves with the patient. |
Using TheraTogs as ‘wearable therapy’, your patient can gain the experience and the benefits of an all-day clinical therapy session. This is what we mean when we tell clinicians they can “send their hands home” with TheraTogs. Rather than receive only 1 to 3 hours of therapy per week, the typical TheraTogs client receives up to 16 hours of wearable therapy every day.

Today there are five primary TheraTogs models used by occupational therapists:
- Posture & Torso Alignment Systems - Correct posture, improve respiration, and improve torso alignment in seating and standing.
- Autism/SPD Systems - Provide full-torso proprioceptive input and postural support for mild hypotonia.
- (New!) Wunzi Infant Systems - A special infant-only design, similar to the PTA in function and benefits - availability just announced.
- Full Body Systems - Addresses a full range of torso and upper extremity issues, including shoulder subluxation, scapula winging, and brachial plexus injury.
- Wrist & Thumb Systems - The most adaptable wrist and thumb support system on the market (pediatric sizes only).
