Special Tomato Recliner Support System (RSS)

Adding blankets and pillows to create a custom support environment can take endless adjustments before the user is comfortable and properly postured; those adjustments only increase should the user shift their position even the slightest amount. Abnormal muscle tone, strength deficits, and poor balance are just a few conditions where standard loungers fall short in comfort, support, and security. That's where the Recliner Support System (RSS) steps in. This latest innovation from Special Tomato fits overtop of your existing recliner to provide the comfort and peace associated with relaxing in an adjustable chair for those with postural and support needs that simply can't be met by standard recliners. The RSS moves with your recliner, providing the same range of motion with double the support.

Both a pelvic and chest harness are a part of the RSS; the pelvic harness uses 3 points of connection and the chest harness uses 5 to help secure the user to the chair and assist with maintaining proper posture. The ergonomically curved headrest cradles the head to keep the neck aligned with the spine and can be adjusted up and down to promote midline head position. Both leg supports are height and laterally adjustable, keeping a neutral alignment for the lower body that discourages hyper extension in the knees. The RSS is also compatible with Special Tomato Soft-Touch Liner Seat and Back Cushions that can be used for additional support and comfort.

Straps with internal padding make it easy to secure the RSS to your pre-existing recliner without damaging the exterior. The entire system folds up and clips like a suit bag, making it easy to store when not in use and transport so you can bring it with you wherever you go. The integrated handle allows the system to be hung from a coat hanger or other hook, keeping it up and out of the way. Water-resistant material makes it easy to wipe down for quick spot-cleaning; for more thorough cleaning, the RSS is completely machine washable.
