Product Overview:

The Sofsorb® Absorbent Wound Dressing is a one-piece, highly absorbent, multi-layer dressing that is usable either wet or dry. Because it is non-adherent it can easily be used for fragile burn wounds, heavily draining skin ulcers, and pressure sores.

The lint-free, comfortable, and highly absorbent one-way, nonwoven layer construction allows passage of the wound™s drainage up into the layer, trapping the drainage from getting back into the wound, preventing re-contamination and maceration. The non-adherent cellulose layer is designed to have contact with the wound, helping to wick away excess drainage along the pad to help increase the pad efficiency and the health of the user. These wound dressings have rounded edges and tapered configurations combined with soft pliability to allow coverage of hard-to-dress areas, and range of motion exercises during recovery.

More Information

Sofsorb's non-adherent wound contact layer protects fragile tissue. The one-way, nonwoven layer permits passage of
wound drainage into the absorbent pad, but then prevents the drainage from getting back to the wound to prevent
maceration and re-contamination. The center layer absorbs wound drainage. The cellulose layer wicks drainage
horizontally along the pad to increase dressing capacity. The air permeable backing provides strength and integrity.

May be soaked with saline or topical agents prior to use
Rounded edges and tapered limb configurations conform to curved and hard-to-dress areas without unnecessary bulk
Ideal for protecting wound sites from further trauma
Soft pliability allows for range of motion exercises during recovery
Primary or secondary dressing
