More Information

Slo-Foam Hand Exercisers are ideal for use during low-resistance squeezing exercises in hand therapy. Made of open-cell Slo-Foam that slowly recovers after squeezing, each hand exercise block retains 100% memory after use.

Particularly helpful in diagnosing conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Slo-Foam Hand Exercisers help diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions that affect the hands, forearms, ligaments, muscles and tendons in the upper extremities.

Contrast Bath Therapy
During this form of treatment, limbs or the entire body are immersed in alternating hot and cold immersion baths. This process is repeated several times. Ending with ice water immersion ensures that the body's inflammatory response does not kick in and helps decrease inflammation. Contrast Bath Therapy helps reduce swelling around injuries and helps improve muscle recovery after exercise.

Combining Contrast Baths with Exercise
Combining contrast baths with hand exercises using the Slo-Foam Hand Exercisers helps treat conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and contributes to reducing hand volume, alleviating pain, and decreasing stiffness.

Slo-Foam Hand Exercisers Progressive Resistance
There are a variety of Slo-Foam Hand Exercisers available, providing 4 different resistance levels for progressive resistance as the patient's range of motion and strength increase. Choose from four different colors with each having its own resistance level.

The pink excersiser is just the right resistance when I use it to twist using both hands like wringing out a washcloth. However, The 3" length is too short to grip with all of my fingers on both hands. Are these available in 6"-8" lengths?

I was assaulted in June, and broke both arm bones at the wrist. In Physical Therapy, I was shown these oblong sponges and used them for various exercises. They are so much softer (yet resilient) than the usual exercise balls. I started with the softest one, as my hand had almost no strength. I could do the exercises with minimum discomfort and I worked my way up the three colors. I still find the shape much easier to manipulate than the balls, as the balls bother my osteoarthritis of the hands. Now I use them for individual finger exercises.
