The Full Support Swing Seat hangs from heavy-duty rope or chain from any 10-foot frame. The seat is available with a built-in pommel option that prevents users from sliding forward while swinging. The seat is equipped with a safety harness and crotch strap to keep the user properly positioned in the seat. Additional supports such as a headrest and leg rest are available for even greater support for users with limited mobility and coordination.

The Skillbuilders Full Support Swing provides a multitude of strengthening and therapy benefits all while having fun and enhancing the mood and cooperation. Swinging is known to strengthen the vestibular system as well as provide positive sensory input for users with Sensory Processing Disorders.

Swinging encourages children and adults alike to build coordination and develop motor planning. The pumping action to maintain movement provides exercise through play and increased abdominal and trunk control. Swings are also an excellent resource for creating sensory awareness. Swinging helps to provide proprioceptive input and increase spatial awareness as the user moves their arms and legs against air movements and while suspended.

Unlike many swings that sag under the users weight, the sturdy plastic seat with back support encourages proper posture while swinging. The optional pommel provides protection from sliding forward for users with little to no abdominal and trunk control. In addition to this support, a headrest and leg rest is also available to provide additional support. The leg rests are ideal for users that have limited leg movement control. The leg rests are contoured to keep legs in a neutral position and include positioning straps to keep legs secured while swinging. The headrest is curved to keep the head centered and provides support for users that have limited head control.

The tie-down retention strap accessory is a great way to allow the user to have the benefits of sitting in a suspended seat while limiting the amount of movement forward to back. The retention straps anchor the swing to the ground to only allow desired movements that are limited and more controlled.

The seat cover is compatible with seats with and without the pommel option.

Im cautious about the quality of the swing chair.The plastic material is so thin I can bend the back of the seat. We bought the adult size, thinking wed have it for a long time...not sure Ill keep it. We have a smaller one that is solid still after 7 years. This companys price was $100 cheaper than a competitor, overall cost for an adult size swing was crazy high, what can you do when you have a special needs child, there arent a lot of options for activities. Swinging brings him happiness.
