Foam rolls are an excellent tool utilized to engage patients in balance retraining exercises. As the patient moves their body over the foam rollers they are building their coordination and balance. The rolls can be utilized also as a proprioceptive engagement tool as the act of moving along the roller creates body awareness.
The rolls are also frequently utilized in therapy and hospital settings to place the body or extremities in a desired position. The larger rolls can be used to provide expansion of the chest, while the smaller rolls can be utilized to manage pressure of the lower extremities or lower back. The rolls can be placed in numerous positions to provide support or relief of specific joints or other needed areas.
The Skillbuilders Positioning and Vestibular Rolls are constructed of a heavy-duty foam that wont lose its shape while weight is applied to it. The roll is ideal for institutional use and can withstand frequent use.
The rolls are covered in a washable coating that protects the foam from perspiration and debris. The roll has a handle that allow the rolls to be easily carried or hung from the optional accessory rack.
