The Ready to Feed Similac® Expert Care® Alimentum® with Iron Infant Formula is a nutritionally complete and hypoallergenic formula for infants, including those with colic symptoms that are caused by protein sensitivity. The supplemental beverage is made for children with severe food allergies, sensitivity to intact protein, protein maldigestion, and fat malabsorption. It is made with a predigested protein that eliminates allergic reactions in most babies who are allergic to cow's milk protein. The formula contains hydrolyzed casein supplemented with free amino acids for infants who are sensitive to or unable to digest intact protein. It takes about 24 hours in most infants to start reducing colic symptoms related to protein sensitivity. With ingredients like DHA and ARA, brain and eye development are supported, and a unique blend of carbohydrates with two different absorptive pathways help maximize absorption and minimize the risk of malabsorption.
