The Seca 684 Digital Wheelchair Scale is designed to facilitate convenient, safe, and efficient weighing of a variety of patients, including those who are wheelchair-bound. The wide weighing platform accommodates most wheelchair sizes, and the 800-pound weight capacity stands up to even bariatric patients, also available in a KG only option. An included ramp bridges the gap between the weighing platform and the floor, allowing patients or caregivers to roll the wheelchair smoothly onto the scale and off again once weighing incomplete. A stop barrier prevents the front wheels of the wheelchair from rolling too far over the edge of the weighing platform, and handrails on three sides of the scale provide a sense of security for both the patient and caregiver.
For patients who are not bound to a wheelchair but experience fatigue, weakness, or instability, an integrated seat folds out from the frame of the scale to provide a stable place to rest during the weighing process. The handrails can be used for the patient to assist with walking onto and off of the weighing platform, as well as lowering themselves down to the seat and back up again. The wheelchair scale can also function as a standard floor scale for patients with no mobility limitations, with the added benefit of wireless transmission capability. At the touch of a button, this scale can transmit the patient's results to a PC or other EMR-ready device, such as a printer. TARE, Auto-HOLD, and dampening functions are all included for more versatility of use; these functions, as well as all transmissions, are controlled via the user-friendly display screen that can swivel to suit caregiver preference.
Integrated transport casters on the bottom of the scale make it easy to move between rooms as needed, bringing a variety of applications to every room in your facility. The handrails can serve as convenient handles for more precise control when moving.
