The seat belt sensors allow caregivers to attend to other duties without leaving their patients unmonitored. Each sensor is easy to use and to install in a wheelchair or other chair so the patient can be safely fastened in. This reminder to stay seated can help prevent falls while simultaneously freeing up caregivers' time.
The Velcro Seat Belt Sensor fastens with a Velcro strap and sets the alarm off if the Velcro is unfastened. However, the sensor also has a second 2"frac12; section that must also be unfastened to undo the seat belt. This gives the caregiver a little more time to respond before the patient gets up, making the sensor extra safe for patients who are more active. The release strap has a bright red section to make it easy to see.
The Buckle Seat Belt Sensor buckles just like a car seat belt. It is easy to release by pushing the button, and simple to fasten. The release button is red so it's easy to see and access.
The Seat Belt Extension can be used with these two sensors to add length to the belt. It measures 12"frac12; long and is helpful for patients who need a larger belt.
The sensors both work with most alarm monitors and are made of heavy duty nylon.
