Q-Pads Interactive Rehabilitation System

The Q-Pads Interactive Rehabilitation System offers versatile accommodation for a wide variety of physical rehabilitative therapy applications. The unique design is magnetic-backed for easy set-up on vertical and horizontal surfaces, enabling easy use with the lower or upper extremities in sitting, standing, and quadruped positions. They work to improve patient engagement and compliance through, fun, challenging therapy sessions that focus the attention externally to facilitate easier learning of complex motor tasks.

These pads are pressure-sensitive and multi-colored, integrating bright, colorful LED lights to provide visual feedback to indicate the presence, distribution, and magnitude of weight on the pad. They sense forces as little as 11 pounds for exercises involving stepping or touching a color pad, and feature a weight capacity of up to 330 pounds to accommodate clients working on weight bearing, weight shifting, and balance. Q-pads also display the distribution of forces to facilitate activities aimed to improve weight transfer between rear foot to forefoot or palm to fingers. Scale feature displays not just force but also lateral, anterior, and posterior weight distributions for a more exact reading of the users movements.

Q-Pads challenge patients to work on cognitive and motor skills and allow therapists to easily create individualized tasks to accommodate each clients needs. Pads can be added or taken away to adjust complexity and range, while the easy-to-see visual feedback provides a clear indicator to track progress and motivate the user to continue. The random function even allows the user to play games like Simon Says or Twister to add a whole new level of fun to therapy sessions.
