The Polymem Island Dressing is a medical tool used to cover a wound to avoid infection by protecting it from debris and germs that carry infectious bacteria. The individually wrapped, sterile wound dressings measure at 4" by 5" and are made of a waterproof polyurethane membrane matrix on a semi-permeable, ultra-thin urethane film with a soft and comfortable adhesive membrane border backing; this facilitates a warm, moist wound environment that allows specific types of wounds to heal quickly and correctly.
The super-absorbent central pad will not stick to the wound upon removal, and when combined with the adhesive border, makes this an excellent wound dressing alternative to a gauze and tape dressing.
Each sterile dressing comes wrapped individually in a box of 15, and will arrive as 4 boxes in a case, making them an economical order of 60 wound dressings for hospitals, doctor's offices, school nurse's office, and as EMT supplies.
