The Patient Positioning Lift Slings are used to boost or reposition patients in the bed and to turn patients from a supine position. It can also be used to transfer patients from the bed to the floor or from the floor to the bed in the event of an accidental fall. For maximum support and comfort this sling includes color-coded connection and destination loops to provide easily visible reference for proper positioning and to help attach the sling to a carry bar. Additionally, guide handles and a center reference mark facilitate quick and easy patient positioning every time.
These slings are designed with convenience and comfort in mind, and are intended to be placed underneath the sheet as part of the bed-making process before a patient is placed in bed. This convenient design removes the strain and irritation of getting a sling underneath a horizontal patient for repositioning. Tabs tuck easily underneath the mattress to keep the sling firmly in place while the patient is on the bed and can be easily removed when the lift needs to be used. Covered strap connections protect the skin and improve comfort. For those with skin integrity issues, the Positioning Sling is available in a breathable, stretchable Spacer fabric, which is compatible with air flow mattresses, distributes pressure more evenly than other fabrics, and helps prevent pressure sores and skin tears.
Choose from disposable, knit, mesh, or Spacer Skincare Fabric. The same sling application and transfer procedure are used whether lifting from bed or floor and with all fabric types.
Each Patient Positioning Lift Sling includes an informational label with use and care instructions. The sling label lists the type or style of sling, the size, the reference or product identifications number, and the maximum allowable weight or safe working load. Washing instructions are also included on the label. A user care plan is included with every sling.
