The SYNAPSYS DVNS System is meticulously designed to offer versatile and effective visualization and analysis of patients' ocular movements. Ideal for use in a variety of settings from diagnostic to rehabilitative, this system helps clinicians clearly view and record the movements of their patients' eyes to test for and diagnose their condition.
The Goggles are built with an integrated wireless transmitter and they connect securely with the included WAP access point and transmitter. The benefit of having no wires allows for freedom of movement during clinical sessions as the clinician interacts with the patient.
This model of nystagmus goggles is newly integrated with Maestro, a powerful software platform that records video and audio, along with a wide array of data, into a database that is easily accessible to the clinician. This software keeps patient data organized without adding extra hassle to procedures, and displays accurate information in the form of graphs that are digestible and easy to understand. All of this is stored in a small USB dongle, through which the program can be downloaded and activated, while updates are available through the internet. Keep in mind that this software is only compatible with Windows 10 and 11.
The high-definition camera incorporated into the design of the goggles provides a close-up view of the patient's eye, allowing PTs and ENTs to monitor nystagmus and ocular movements in incredibly fine detail through a display on their computer. The camera automatically focuses on the patient's pupil for the most effective viewing angle, and uses a gyroscope to accurately measure the angle and velocity of movement. As tests are administered, clinicians can watch the natural movements of the eye in real-time for the most accurate and authentic results.
Two packages are available:
The PT Screening Package contains the Caloric Modules, Spontaneous and Positional Nystagmus Tests, and Kinetic Module software, in addition to a wireless camera, Xpress mask, remote control, and the standard Maestro software suite: everything you need to access the DVNS VideoScope's testing capabilities.
The ENT/AUD Pro Package comes with everything that the PT Screening Package offers, but adds additional oculomotor testing software: the saccades, smooth pursuit, gaze, and optokinetic tests. It also adds the ability to control visual stimulation through the device using the system's software interface.

What is the process for software updates and how much do they cost?
Answer: Software updates are free. They can be downloaded on the Nystalab dedicated website: http://nystalab.com/en/home/
How long does a battery last after it has been charged?
Answer: There are 3 batteries that are provided with this system. Each battery can last 4-5 hours with intensive use.
Where is data stored?
Answer: Data can be stored wherever you want; you choose where to store data from your system, be it your computer's hard drive, flash drive, etc.
How long is the camera wire?
Answer: The Nystalab system is wireless and requires no cords for the camera.

Answer: Battery lifetime is approximately 2 to 3 years. The warranty is 6 months, as it is considered consumable.
Our recommendations:
Objective: Offer a 2 to 3 year lifetime to your batteries.
At first use, let the batteries completely discharge to maintain sustainable recharging. Wait for them to completely empty before putting them in the charger. The average charge time is between 1 and 1.5 hours for optimal charging.
To avoid premature wear of your batteries, we strongly recommend that you charge the battery and use them until they are completely discharged. At this point, you can put them in the charger and once they are recharged, remove them from the charger.
Before you leave, remember to unplug the charger and pull out the inserted battery location.
What is the difference between the Flex goggles and the Xpress mask?
Answer: The Flex goggles are light and flexible. They adapt to all kinds of patients, including children. You may want to change those goggles every 3 to 6 months depending on the use.
The Xpress mask is more durable. It is perfect for a busy daily practice because it is quick to put on the patient since the eye occluders fasten themselves magnetically and it is easy to clean.
How many computers can I use the system with?
Answer: Theoretically as many as you want for the naked system, without any modules.
For the modules, they are stored on a USB dongle (or USB key). You can have the system and the modules work out of any computer as long as the software has been previously installed.
Are the Nystalab Wireless Flex Goggles compatible with 220/240v outlets?
Answer: Are the Nystalab Wireless Flex Goggles have strict charging requirements. The Batteries Manual in the documents section indicates that the absolute maximum charging voltage is 240v.
What is the file type that Nystalab video files are stored as?
Answer: The video file recordings are saved by the Windows PC as .AVI video file types. The user has the ability to decide folder location upon where video files will be stored on the hard drive.
