The Multi-Purpose Sharps Container is a place for medical personnel to place their biomedical sharps waste devices or objects that can puncture or lacerate the skin and be contaminated with blood includes such objects as lancets, needles, scalpel blades, syringes, IV catheters, suture needles, razor blades, capillary tubes, dental wires, and endodontic files. Sharps containers are also used in tattoo facilities to store used tattoo needles and piercing needles.
The hard, thick plastic container comes in a vibrant and easy to recognize red color and marked with the universal biohazard symbol. It has an adjustable rotor lid that will rotate open to allow the disposing of a sharp object and then twisted temporarily closed for safety. Once the half-gallon capacity sharps container is filled, the lid can be locked permanently closed for the final disposal of the hazardous waste.
The sharps container is required to be reported under California Proposition 65.
The disposable sharps container comes in an economical case of sixty which makes it ideal for medical facilities, doctor's offices, dental offices, and tattoo facilities.
