The Moleskin Splinting Rolls with Adhesive Backing is designed to provide a soft, safe, comfortable, and durable protective lining between the undersurface of a cast or splint and the user's soft skin.

Moleskin is not made from the fur of a mole but rather from cotton that is sheared to create a very smooth and soft textured surface which feels like the silky fur of a mole. The moleskin material has an adhesive backing with easily removed backing paper that allows the medical professional to easily apply and properly place the moleskin onto the underside of the splint or cast.

The moleskin provides a versatile padding material that will help protect against high-friction areas and chafing from the possible rubbing interaction of the harsh surface of the cast or splint. The moleskin can also be used to line shoes to help with corns and blisters.

The splinting material is 1/32-inch thick, 12-inches wide, and comes in a 5-yard roll. This allows the medical professional to cut the material into any shape and size to provide for a customized fit.

Used in medical facilities, the moleskin material is also used in homes and business to provide self-adhesive, soft lining material for a wide range of applications. The moleskin splinting material does contain natural rubber latex which may cause irritation and other allergic reactions.
