Mepilex Border Self-Adhesive Absorbent Foam Dressing

Mepilex Border Self-Adhesive Absorbent Foam Dressing is a medical-grade, highly absorbent, plastic polymer foam dressing featuring Safetac soft, silicone technology that is designed to quickly and effectively absorb exuding wound drainage while regulating the wound's moisture level. The unique foam design also helps to minimize the risk of periwound skin maceration and erosion while allowing fresh air to permeate the covered area and allow air-flow to help speed up the wound healing.

The film backing on the dressing is moisture vapor permeable, provides a bacterial barrier, and is waterproof which allows the dressing to be worn up to 5 to 7 days between changing, depending on the wound’s condition. This helps the wound to grow new tissue and avoid the risk of infection. The self-adherent, bordered foam dressings feature the unique Safetac soft, silicone technology that allows the dressing to be changed without causing extra pain or physical skin trauma to the wound or surrounding area, as well as not having to use extra wrapping gauze to secure the dressing’s fit.

The latex-free dressings comes in 7 different size options for sacrum, post-op, and general medical use and can be used both in medical professional settings or at home.
