Kaye Balance Therapy Bolster Stands

The Kaye Balance Therapy Bolster Stands are designed to elevate bolsters approximately 5.5" to 11" off the ground; this allows them to sit at a more comfortable height for children to practice everything from sitting to straddling to balancing. The wooden box-like structures can be spaced at any distance apart to accommodate bolsters of different lengths or to increase or decrease the rigidity of the bolster while elevated. For firmer support, place the stands closer together; for more flexible support that requires more effort to counterbalance, place the stands further apart. Each stand is over a foot wide, leaving plenty of space to fit bolsters of any size. Both sides of each stand also act as a lip to ensure the bolster stays on the stand and can't roll off in any direction. Bolsters can also be used with only one stand, creating a slope to add complexity and more challenge for advanced students. Choose from two different bolster sizes to go with the Kaye Bolster Stands; each bolster is covered in soft yet durable vinyl material that is water resistant and therefore easy to sanitize between users. Each bolster is constructed strong enough to support adults as well as children. Bolsters themselves have unlimited uses in therapeutic programs, including being used as a surface to facilitate the development of balance reactions in a variety of positions. Kaye bolsters and their stands can also be used to facilitate transitions, such as moving from sitting to hands and knees.
