Non-adhesive and easy to apply, this unique and sterile dressing is also easy to remove in one piece without damaging healthy skin tissue. Utilized for absorbing exudate from moderate to heavy draining wounds, this calcium alginate dressing can absorb up to 20 times its weight in exudate. Its often used to treat surgical incisions, lacerations, stage II and IV pressure ulcers, arterial and diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, superficial burn wounds, donor sites, fungating carcinomas, abrasions, and traumatic wounds. The Kaltostat Fortex dressing comes individually packaged in a box of ten 4-inch by 4-inch squares.
