Jay Basic Wheelchair Cushions are recommended for use by patients at low risk of skin breakdown and who have mild positioning needs. Each cushion is made from soft, contoured molded foam that increases comfort and postural stability when sitting for long periods of time. To combat hammocking, which occurs when the wheelchair cushion is unable to support the wheelchair user's weight and causes stretching out at the cushion's bottom, this wheelchair cushion has a beveled bottom that keeps the the cushion level without bottoming out. The Jay Basic Wheelchair Cushion is protected by a moisture-resistant incontinence cover with a non-slip surface that keeps the cushion in place while sitting and making transfers. Jay® Basic Cushions are constructed with a soft foam base that mildly contours to help provide wheelchair seating support. Ideal for use with sling upholstery wheelchairs, Jay® Basic Cushions will fits between an upholstered wheelchair's seat rails. The sling wheelchair cushion has a beveled bottom to help reduce the chance of a hammock effect on the upholstery. This helps to keep the sitting surface more level, helping to improve the patient's pelvic alignment over time.

Moisture-Resistant Cover with No-Slip Bottom
This Jay Cushion comes equipped with a moisture resistant cover that protects the inner cushion. It is designed to assist with incontinence management by protecting the cushions foam base from any form of moisture build-up. The cover has a non-slip bottom to prevent sliding during use and transfers.

How to Size your Jay Foam Cushion
To choose the most appropriate sized Jay Cushion, make sure that the chosen cushion length extends within 1 to 2 inches from the back of the knees.

Great cushion for a good price, I bought this to replace the same Jay Basic I had and the one I had was used for many years and the cushion is still good enough to use but I gave it to my mother who is now in a wheelchair and she says that her butt does not hurt anymore from sitting using the old Jay Basic Cushion
