The Heelift Suspension Boot is ideal for pressure sore prevention and treatment, and for those with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, dietary deficiencies. Other indications are foot drop, flaccid paralysis (non-spastic), pre- and post-operative hip fractures and skin grafts. The boot relieves pressure on the heel through an elevation pad within the boot; a soft interface provides aeration, wicking away moisture to ensure a no-slip fit to the lower leg. Adjustable Velcro straps and elevation pads allow for a custom fit; Prevents foot drop, unlike pillows or flat foam pads. Hand-washable.

In addition to the standard Heelift Suspension boot there are two other sizes available.
* Petite Heelift Suspension Boots are indicated for pediatric patients or for patients who are smaller than what is considered the average size for an adult and works best for patients ranging in height from 3'10 to 5'4 and whose calf circumferences measure 6 to 10 inches.

The concept of the boot is fantastic. They do suspend the heal. The problem is the outside needs to be reinforced so the foam doesn't tare. Also so foot stays up straight the back needs more reinforcement. Also the plastic loops are to small and difficult to thread strap.

The boot does keep my husbands foot just off the bed surface and that is good and the foam is kind to his leg. But...and maybe nothing would be better...my husbands foot tends to turn and even with the extra foam on one side his foot almost always slips to the side by morning. I think it is better than just using pillows and it is certainly better than nothing. Its just not quite as stable as the picture would suggest.

Nice Boot...
Raise the base part out far enouh to cover the toes. Otherwise it looks like a great product.
