Product Overview:

The Halo Safety Ring is a versatile and adjustable bed mobility device designed to assist individuals with limited mobility, promoting greater independence. By providing safe exit points for the neck, head, and chest, it eliminates four critical zones of entrapment, offering users a more secure way to move in and out of bed. The device can rotate 90 degrees in either direction, accommodating different user positions and making it easier for the individual to exit the bed or adjust their posture. This mobility aid is particularly beneficial for those who require assistance with movement and are at risk of skin breakdown from prolonged bed rest.

The Halo Safety Ring not only enhances mobility but also encourages strength-building with assisted movement, allowing individuals to regain confidence and reduce dependence on caregivers. Designed to promote safety, comfort, and environmental independence, this device provides essential support for those seeking a safer and more efficient way to navigate their daily routines.

More Information

The Halo Safety Ring is a highly functional and adjustable bed mobility device, specifically designed to assist individuals with limited mobility, helping them regain independence in daily activities. This device provides safe exit points for the neck, head, and chest, addressing the four critical zones of entrapment commonly experienced by individuals with mobility challenges. It can rotate 90 degrees in either direction, which allows caregivers and users the support needed for adapting to different user positions. This feature ensures that the device accommodates various needs, whether it's assisting with bed exits, changing postures, or repositioning comfortably in bed.

The Halo Safety Ring plays a vital role in promoting bed mobility and preventing skin breakdown, a common issue for individuals who are bedbound or spend extended periods in one position. Facilitating easier transitions in and out of bed reduces the risks associated with immobility, such as pressure ulcers. In addition to enhancing safety, it helps build strength through assisted movement, allowing users to gradually regain physical strength and improve their overall health.

Ideal for individuals with conditions such as limited mobility, weakness, or recovery from surgery, the Halo Safety Ring is designed for use in home care or healthcare settings. It helps individuals to be more confident in their ability to manage bed mobility. However, it is important to note that the product still requires close monitoring for mattress movement, compression, and gap space to ensure the complete safety of the user. The device supports not only the physical aspects of bed mobility but also improves the user's emotional well-being by providing a greater sense of autonomy and comfort. With its thoughtful design and practical features, the Halo Safety Ring enhances quality of life and promotes long-term health and safety.

What Customers Are Saying:

"My mother lives in an assisted living community and her bed is not the best. I bought her these halo safety rings so that she could get in and out much easier, and according to her they have been very helpful. It was pretty easy to install and the height of the bar is just right. - Alison W."

"My parents had these really old bed rails on their bed for years and years, but finally they broke off and instead of having them get new ones, I bought these for them. The rings are sturdy and hold up a good amount of weight. I'm at least glad that they aren't using those old rickety bed rails anymore, as they were probably older than me. - James T."

"I've been using this ring for about a week now, and so far I've been impressed. It holds up more than enough weight for anyone to use, and you can get out of bed with it very easily. I even recommended it to my sister who had a triple bypass last year and is still working on building up her strength. It's a very useful product. - Alan K."

Can this device (Handrail-safety ring) be used on a Leggett and Platt "Promotion" Adjustable Bed? I have purchased this bed for my Mom who is moving to an assisted living facility and uses hand rails to help her get in and out of the bed (she currently has an old hospital bed) Thanks for any help. (Or is there another handrail that you can suggest that would work with this bed?)
Answer: Thank you for your question. This product is designed to be more universal than the previous product that was carried but the bed you are asking about is not listed as a bed that it is guaranteed to fit. I am attaching the Instructions that way you can look over and decide if it will fit your bed frame. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
I was inquiring whether the Halo Safety Ring could be attached to a standard twin bed metal frame with box spring and mattress or only on hospital beds. And also is the vertical pole adjustable?
Answer: No it would not fit. you would need a special model for that type of bed which we do not sell.
Will this work on a Sleep Number bed?
Answer: No, unfortunately, this product will not work on a Sleep Number bed. It will only work on a bed that has a metal frame. Please refer to the Instruction Manual for details.
Can this product be used on adjustable beds?
Answer: No, unfortunately it is not compatible.
Can this be used on a wooden bed frame?
Answer: No this cannot be used on a wooden bed frame.
Are the Halo Safety Rings compatible with the Invacare G-Series Hospital Bed line?

Just Purchased this Halo Ring to replace the parallel bar restraint that we often see used on beds. So far, its doing what it is meant to do. Needs to be fastened to a metal bed frame which was not hard to do.
