Can the arm be moved from one side to the other?

Answer: The arm is fixed, however, the seat can be removed and turned around so that the arm is on the opposite side.

I rate the product 5 stars because it is nicely padded. However, it does not work with a transfer board. The seat keeps moving with each movement of the board. I went back to my old bench and this is sitting in my garage. So, yes if your not using a slide board it is great. Do not buy if you use a slide board. You do not get a refund.

I have tried severaal other seats and this one holds up longer than anyothers I have purchased. I also was able to purchase parts for this so I didnt have to buy the whole bench again. I would purchase again and have purchased this item 3 times.

Similar bench to ones I have had for the last seven years. The assembly was confusing. The pop-out buttons came in a clip that was difficult to engage. Took the padded bench to a wheelchair company to assemble. Do not have it back yet.

I purchased my transfer bench as a replacement.. but discovered when I used it the first time that it's lighter and not as sturdy as my original..
It also wobbled and makes a creaking noise..
I called the customer service phone number yesterday to ask about returning it for a full refund..but I was only able to leave a voicemail. I haven't yet received a return call.

Not really sure of how many stars to give this, so I decide to go straight up the middle. I searched for a shower bench with a cut out and I found this one to be $25-$30 less than most others. This chair is a quality product however it is not ergonomically correct. If you have upper torso paralysis do not buy this chair because the back rest is set very close to the back of the seat. If you have bad balance at all, it will make you fall forward. It should be noted, as it is extremely dangerous. It is unfortunate, However understandable the strict return
policy. I only hope that my review will help other people avoid spending money on a chair that you will end up keeping a closet rather than the shower.
