The Get-A-Grip Pegboard Set is a fun way for kids to develop and enhance their visual perception skills as well as visual motor coordination and fine motor skills. Visual perception is developed by the child identifying the six differently colored clothespin-type plastic clips. Visual motor coordination is developed when the child matches the clip color to the corresponding chart representing the game board. The fine motor enhancement derives from the child using their hands and fingers to grasp, hold, and pinch the clip open and place it on the corresponding area of the gameboard. This game can be used for children 3 years old and up.

The Get-A-Grip Pegboard Set is a cognitive development game to help develop and enhance a child's visual perception skills, visual motor coordination, fine motor skills, and dexterity.

Playing with the fun game helps contribute to a child’s healthy cognitive development by combining a fun and entertaining activity with tactile experiences playing with the game pieces and placing them in a desired pattern. Children become interested and more purposeful when playing a game that helps them to understand and solve problems.

The game consists of a 6 1/4-inch by 6 1/4-inch square plastic board with 25 evenly spaced areas to clip the 30 plastic, differently colored clothespin-style pegs. Included in the set are 12 laminated activity cards which fit over the game board. Each card has colored patterns to indicate the place to clip the correct color clothespin peg, with each activity card graded with a difficulty level.

The child is asked to clip the same color clothespin to the corresponding colored pattern. This behavior will help increase the child's color recognition skills and visual motor coordination skills when matching the clothespin to the correct color pattern. Instructing the child to grasp, hold, and pinch the clothespin peg will also help them to develop fine motor skills, and dexterity of the hands and fingers.
