The mesh design of the sling allows air to readily flow through, making it especially breathable and significantly reducing the risk of moisture accumulation. The prevention of moisture and heat accumulation is vital in limiting the potential for sores and discomfort during and in between patient transfers.

The polyester mesh in the sling also features a brushed inner lining that helps to prevent sliding and slipping during the process of a patient transfer. This can protect the patient's skin from shearing and friction, which can otherwise lead to discomfort and skin damage; the brushed inner lining is ideal for all levels of skin sensitivities. Additionally, the mesh design allows the sling to be used even in shower or bath chairs without needing to be removed during the bathing process.

Can this sling be used manually, without a lift if there are two larger people who can lift up the patient?

Answer: Yes, in theory, this could work. The straps have three separate loops for adjustments for use on a lift and could fit smaller hands or stronger fingers. With that said, we recommend that you do not do this. Please use a lift to ensure that the caregivers do not injure themselves.

Does this sling require separate straps to attach to the lift? Does it work with different brand lifts?

Answer: This sling has everything you need to attach it to the lift. It does work with different brand lifts.

Does this sling have a strap across the back of the sling with "handholds" so that a caregiver can adjust a patient is sitting in a wheelchair?
