The lightweight FeatherLite Reachers are simple but invaluable tools designed to aid the user in picking up or grabbing items that they would otherwise have to bend over or stretch up high to reach. The straightforward trigger-handle design is easy to operate and requires only 8 ounces of pressure to activate; the ergonomic design of both the handle and curved trigger ensures the device comfortable to hold and use. To operate, simply position the jaws around the item you wish to grab and squeeze the trigger to close the jaws; releasing the trigger releases the jaws and therefore the object. A small, powerful magnet protrudes from the end of the Reacher to lift small metal items that would otherwise be difficult to snag with the jaws.
The interlocking claw teeth provide the traction needed to pick up a variety of items, from soft blankets to a dropped cell phone, without damaging them; the FeatherLite II features rubber lining on both clamps for further traction and protection. The FeatherLite II also includes a detachable plastic clip that can be used to store the Reacher conveniently, such as on the back of a wheelchair; the FeatherLite IIs trigger is also significantly more curved for easier hanging. Both Reacher models come in two length options to suit the height and arm length of the user.
