Drive Medical is introducing innovative bariatric supports with frames up to 100 pounds lighter than most others. Depending on bed size, these bariatric beds have been tested to support up to 1000 pounds! This lightweight frame offers easy, one-person assembly, and more manageable bed deliveries.

Caregivers will experience greater patient accessibility with three different frame size options, easy to clean and scratch-resistant bed panels, and fewer service calls with a glow-in-the-dark hand pendant. An Underwriters Laboratories (UL) approved motor offers reduced weight and noise mechanisms that make it easy to install and remove. Both patients and caregivers will appreciate the ease of use of this bariatric bed.

Available in 42, 48, and 54-inch widths, Drive's Lightweight Bariatric Hospital Bed offers patients plenty of room for a safe and comfortable recovery. Caregivers and providers can assemble the frame hassle-free without struggling with heavy links or tools, making for an efficient and setup and takedown process.

Despite the frame being impressively lightweight, it offers up to 1000 pounds of support and is built for durability. A square tube steel frame slat deck provides no-sag mattress support, scratch-resistant wood grain end panels house hi-lo motors for height adjustability, and a dual motor mechanism for head and frame adjustability. The UL-approved dual-motor features reduced weight and noise for easy install and removal. The quiet motor is operated by a glow-in-the-dark pendant which reduces any risk of injury while operating the bed in low-light situations. Additionally, the pendant comes with LED indicators for power and lockout for easy visibility.

For fall prevention and extra patient safety, half rails that fit all bed frame sizes are available for purchase. Rail accessory upgrades meet FDA and ASTM entrapment guidelines and standards. Bariatric mattresses along with a foam mattress are available for upgrade.
