The 1PS Ambulation Shorts is a patent-pending medical garment from MedcoTech designed to alleviate the burdens caregivers ordinarily face while assisting their patients with ambulatory exercises. This unique patient lift sling attaches to any mobile patient lift or ceiling track lift that utilizes a hook and loop attachment system, enabling patients to walk without having to rely too heavily on nurses and other hospital staff. The 1PS Ambulation Shorts are constructed from a body-contouring material that is both breathable and durable. Unlike other fabrics, it will not ride up or bind, ensuring that patients are able to complete their ambulatory tasks with as much comfort as possible. Note: Sling assembly only. Lift system must be purchased separately.

Once placed on the patient, the Ambulation Shorts are easily tightened and fitted to the patient with custom tension buckles and straps. SMART Ambulation Shorts are adjusted at the patient's leg, hip flexor and waist. Once connected to the overhead lift or portable lift device, Ambulation Shorts allow for simple adjustment while in use. The strap and webbing control pocket also functions as a tension and support mechanism for the patient's chest and back. The MedCo Technology Tension Slider moves up and down the webbing, easily adjusted by the caregiver or patient to ensure maximum comfort and stability.

Ambulation shorts protect patient privacy and dignity, support or hold indwelling foley catheters, feature open sides for patients with multiple lines, drains or chest tubes and with MedCo fabric technology will not ride up, bind, or bunch causing painful pressure areas if the patient stops assisting during an ambulation task. Ambulation Shorts may be used with any lift featuring a hook and loop attachment point or may be used with other ambulation specialty lifts with the proper attachments.
