The Curity Cotton Gauze Sponges are durable gauze sponges designed to be used as primary or secondary wound dressing so that wounds can be properly cared for and allowed to heal in a healthy and safe way to ensure that there are no infections or bacteria that could cause future problems with the wound healing process.
The cotton gauze sponges are made with a thick 8-ply material which helps them to be highly absorbent so that they can catch any blood of fluids that drain from an open wound to help not only keep the wound properly covered but also help to keep anything from draining out of the wound and possibly causing other health issues.
These cotton gauze sponges are smaller in size compared to other gauze sponges, measuring only 2 x 2 inches which makes them optimal for smaller cuts and wounds. The smaller size of the gauze makes it good as a cleaning and preparation tool to prepare the wound for dressing with other materials. The Curity Cotton Gauze Sponges are nonsterile so they should not be used to disinfect a wound, however, they are highly absorbent which makes them good for cleaning up a wound after it has been sterilized with other sterilized wound cleaning materials.
These gauze sponges are made from high-grade 100% ring-spun cotton and exceed USP Type VII gauze requirements.
