Bed-Check Sensormat Cordless Fall Prevention Pressure Sensitive Pads

Bed-Check Sensormat Cordless Fall Prevention Pressure Pads can be used with the Bed-Check Cordless Fall Management System to help monitor and alert staff when a patient departs from a bed or chair. When the patient's weight is removed from the pressure sensitive fall prevention pad, the Bed-Check monitor sounds an alarm.

Alarm delays can be programmed into the fall prevention monitor, which prevents staff alarm fatigue and irritation with the patient. A red LED indicator light also appears on the monitor as a visual reference. Bed-Check Sensormat Cordless Fall Prevention Pressure Pads come in chair and bed versions. To use, the pad is placed under the patient, and the monitor can be mounted within 30 feet of the pad.

Bed Sensormat
The Cordless Bed Pad can be placed on top of the mattress, across the bed's width. It is ideally placed 3-5" below the mattresses bend when the head of the bed is elevated. A top sheet and incontinence pad can be placed over the Bed Pad. The Bed Pad can be placed behind the patient's back, but effectiveness depends on patient weight and the bed angle.

Chair Sensormat
The Cordless Chair Pad can be placed across a chair or wheelchair seat. Although the pad can be used effectively with an incontinence pad placed over it, all other pads should be placed below the Sensormat. Make sure that the pad is placed directly below the patient's buttocks. For maximum effectiveness, the Sensormat should be placed as far back in the seat as possible. Anti-skid strips can be used to secure the Sensormat to the seat. Since there is a 6 to 7-second alarm delay, the patient has time to shift their body in order to find the most comfortable position.

Choose Preferred Usage Time Length
Choose from a 14-day or 180-day Bed-Check Cordless Pressure Pads, depending on your facility's individual patient needs. Sensormats should be replaced on or before their warranty period expires.
