The Connector Adapter IV Inject Site is a primary component for the InterLink system of needleless intravenous access medical equipment. It provides a continuous straight path for IV fluid and has no internal moving parts and thereby reduces the chance of creating reservoirs of fluid, particularly blood, that may enhance microbial growth. The connector adapter meets the CDC 2009 Draft Guideline to prevent internal corrugations that could harbor organisms.
The male Luer locking design easily connects with female Luer slips that connect to tubing to help provide a reliable, consistent access link with InterLink cannulas.
