The Century Fiberglass Sit Bath system is designed to make patients feel relaxed and comfortable while granting caregivers less strenuous and more convenient access to patients during the bathing process. The keyhole-shaped tub is compatible with the Alenti and Calypso hygiene lift chairs from Arjo that make lowering the patient into and raising the patient out of the tub fast and easy without any manual lifting from the caregiver.
The front panel of the Century tub controls everything from the auto-disinfect mode to the water temperature, and allows caregivers to quickly and easily adjust settings as needed at the touch of a button. Small digital displays of both the tub water temperature and the temperature of the fill and shower help caregivers precisely monitor and control the warmth the patient is exposed to. Two separate scalding protection sensors also prevent water temperatures from rising too high.
The AutoFill system allows caregivers to set the bath to fill and then retrieve the patient without worrying about the tub overflowing; this saves time for both the patient and caregiver, as neither needs to wait for the tub to fill or reach the appropriate temperature before the bathing process can begin. Between patients, the automatic disinfection system along with the disinfection shower handle allows caregivers to quickly and easily sanitize the tub to prepare it for the next patient.
The keyhole shape of the tub is designed to provide extra wiggle room around the upper body, making patients more comfortable throughout the bathing process. The optional HydroMassage or HydroSound features enhance the already soothing and calming effects of hot water. HydroMassage uses water jets for a gentle massage that stimulates blood circulation and relieves aches and pains; HydroSound utilizes an ultrasound unit in the tub to generate vibrations and movement in the water that is perfect for sensitive skin.
