The Catheter Screw Compressor with C Clamp is used in tandem with your catheter tubes to secure them in place or to seal a tube while transferring a bag. The compressor clamps are designed to pinch off or close off the end of the tubing for catheters. These devices are not sterile. They utilize an easy to twist screw head. The screw head is serrated to create a secure grasp. Even if your hands are wet or covered with a glove, the thumb head is easy to twist counter-clockwise and clockwise.
Turning the screw head clockwise tightens the clasp which puts more pressure on the tube. When the clasp is tightened all the way, the fluid within the tube will no longer be able to pass through. This can be beneficial when changing a catheter bag. Turning the clasp counter-clockwise results in a loosening of the clasp. The loosened clasp will allow fluids to flow through the tube again.
The back support features a small lip that holds the tubing in place so it does not slip out from underneath the tightening clasp. There are 2 sizes available. Both sizes come with 12 per case.
