The BestStand Care SA Hydraulic Sit-To-Stand Lift delivers a convenient and inexpensive transfer solution for patients able to partially bear their own weight. Durably constructed in two different model selections that provide bariatric weight capacities of 400 and 500 pounds, this lift provides exceptional, repetitive service for patients in care facilities and hospitals. But its been specifically designed for use in private residences and is an especially helpful support for performing patient transfers in small bathrooms, bedrooms, and other rooms with limited space.
Its hydraulic configuration facilitates easy manual operation by pumping the handle thats located on the side to raise the height of the lift while opening a valve at the top of the handle slowly and gently lowers the patient to a seated surface. Once the patient has been raised, they can then be transported to another location. This lift is ideal for sit-to-stand transfers to and from commodes, wheelchairs, beds, car seats, and chairs. An optional electronic conversion kit can be used to retro-fit this lift at any time, converting it from hydraulic operation to a rechargeable battery/electric version without having to purchase a whole new lift.
Even though the two separate models offer different weight capacities, they do provide the same, compact dimensions that are well-suited for smaller spaces. The lower base clearance slides easily under low beds, while the width-adjustable base improves patient access and fits around wider furniture, commodes, and wheelchairs. A lever at the base of the lift enables quick and simple widening and narrowing of the legs of the base. The footplate provides secure footing and can be removed when necessary.
The padded knee pad is depth-adjustable to optimize patient positioning and comfort, while the four-point attachment boom is compatible with most any reusable or disposable stand-assist, sit-to-stand, or standing sling, including several slings from Bestcare. Smooth-rolling, 3-inch dual front casters combined with 4-inch back casters facilitate easy maneuverability and lockable stationary security, along with large ergonomic handles that provide a secure grip and improve stability for both the caregiver and the patient during sit-to-stand transfers.
